We're Back!!!

After a wonderful vacation we are now back home! We had a great time in California!!

Fist we, I mean Danny!, drove ALL night. We arrived at 5-5:30 A.M. Then got up with Taelin at 8:00! It was a great drive! It took Danny about three days to recoup from the drive! Each day he slept in a little longer! Taelin was up at about 7-7:30 a.m. each day ready for breakfast! Then she followed her routine and took a morning and afternoon nap! It was wonderful... These breaks gave me just enough time to finish reading the HOST! Such a great book! Anyway... While in Cayucos we walked the beach, built sand castles, played in the water a little! It was cool! Walked the town, Ate at Duckies! My sister Emily said it was really good food and it was! We went shopping in Morro Bay, Drove to see the Elephant Seals. They look like seals but have a huge nose like an Elephant but smaller of course! This time of year they are shedding their skin and getting new ones. In the slideshow, you will see the shiny new skin and the old brown skin on some of them. We made the trek up to the Monterey Bay Aquarium! It was amazing! On the way up we decided to drive Hwy. One! It was a beautiful drive! There was a lot to look at, but I kept my nose in my book! hehehe I finished it though! I think that all of us at some point, from on the curvy road, got a little sick to our stomachs! I needed a little breather. The combo of being pregnant, reading, the turns and an empty stomach did not sit well with me! It was a wonderful drive and I enjoyed the opportunity! We stopped at Subway to eat before we went to the Aquarium! It was just what I needed!

The Aquarium was AMAZING!!! There was so much to see! We first saw the Deep Sea Otters! They look so cute and playful! The windows were double pained and there was about six inches between each pane. The only thing was that you could only see the one against the water because of the water splashing on it. So not once but twice did I try to get a closer look and hit my head on the window! It was quite funny! We also got to see the Penguins and the Kelp animals being fed! There was a huge Jelly fish exhibit going on! I didn't realize that there were so many kinds of Jelly fish! They are fun to look at!
The Aquarium had a wonderful variety of things to do and see including their hands on exhibit! We got to touch starfish and a sting ray, etc... It was lots of fun! We had a great time! One thing that we noticed while we were there was the large number of European Tourists! There were a lot! French here and German over there etc... It was great to see all of them! With the exchange rate to their advantage, it is a great time for them to come to America and tour!

Dad and Mom Elaine were so kind to have us in their home! Thank you for your great hospitality and the wonderful company! We had a fabulous time and miss you already! We can't wait for our next adventure to see you!

Thanks for reading and enjoy the slide show!

A New Addition!

SIKE!!! It's not me, but it is in my family!!!

Celisa my good friend and sister-in-law delivered a little girl Yesterday August 11th, 2008 at 12:57 p.m. .... We were all surprised! Ian and Celisa did not find out what they were having with the Ulta Sound, so when the baby came out we were delighted to see it was a girl! Personally I thought it was going to be a boy but... I am never right about these things!!! She weighed 6.9 Lbs and is 19 inches long and has a head of hair. Celisa is such a trooper! She makes having a baby look like riding a bike! Easy is what I mean... She only gave THREE pushes and then there was the baby! I pushed for THREE HOURS with Taelin! I hope that this next baby is a little easier to push out! Anyway... Here are the pictures that I have on my Camera! These are some of Melynn's Firsts!

Random Moments

So I just downloaded pictures onto my computer and thought that I needed to share a few of them! What can I say, Taelin is just the most adorable little girl I have seen!!!!
At Uncle JD's house, she got to try on his cowboy boots! Look at those cute little leggs!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Buckwalter took us all to the Harley Cafe inside the new Harley store in Orem!! YUMMMM!! The food was great and the rides were totally awesome! There were people turning on the bikes in the store they were so loud, but fun to listen to! Taelin thinks that she is going to be a biker chick!!

Aunt Laura watched Taelin for us while we went to see the new Batman movie! So good!!! While there, Taelin took a dive in Aunt Laura's tub, so her clothes were soaked. She helped dad drive down the street to our house for some dry clothes so we could go to dinner with the family. She is a natural driver!

For FHE Auntie, Michael, Grandma and Grandpa Buckwalter and Us, all went up to South Fork Park for a picnic and games! We had fun playing in the wet grass since it had rained for one minute before we got there! Good times! If you can see on Taelin's shirt, she tried to eat the dirt but decided that it didn't taste very good!

This was Taelin's first time going down the slide all by herself! My she is growing up so fast! I can't believe it! She loved it so much she even tried to climb up the slide! (sorry the video is sideways, I can't figure out how to rotate it!)

Another Baby Robertson!

So I think that it is about time that we tell our friends, in the Blogger world, our great news! We would like to announce that Danny and I are expecting baby number two! We are so excited for this new addition! The official due date is January 25, 2009! I was going to wait and post this announcement when we had an ultra sound picture, but that isn't for another month and I don't want to wait anymore.... So there you have it... Baby number two is on it's way!
I am feeling great! Luckily I haven't been introduced to the oh so common morning sickness!! Knock on wood!!! I get head aches every now and then and seem to have a little nausea, but not that much. Life in the pregnant world has been great! Sleeping has been a little difficult, but that isn't new. I am starting to show a little pouch, enough for people to think that I am just gaining weight! Hehehe and the process begins. :)
We are hoping that since Christmas is so close to the due date, we will still be able to attend the Robertson family Christmas in Luna, New Mexico. We will have to see how swollen I get this pregnancy!!!

Another month of FUN!!!

For Kayla's Birthday (June 30) We got together at Heathers house for cake and ice-cream. We all matched and thought that we needed to take a picture to document the occasion! Don't we all look great!

The fourth of July was also a blast! We woke up and went to the ward breakfast. I made hash browns so we missed the balloon launch this year! Sad! Oh well next year. Taelin loved the parade. She had a sucker for the second time in her life and thought it was fun to rub it on the road and then try and eat it... I wouldn't let her eat it just so you know! After taking the sucker away we finally made her sit in Danny's lap while she sucked on a new one!!! Thanks to the Flake family we had shade and a place to sit during the parade!

Taelin had an ice-cream cone for the first time with Auntie at Cherry Hill Park! It was so hot and a beautiful day... She loved the ice-cream.

We celebrated Logan's first birthday on July 10th at the Sera Park. It was a great time and good food. Taelin loved eating everyone's food and drinking their water! Logan got tons of awesome toys! Including his sweet new ride! It was love at first sight!!! After a great party and yummy food, some of us headed over to the pool for a much needed swim! The weather was perfect, and Amanda's sister Heather brought a bunch of cool pool toys for us to play with.. Thanks for sharing.

Danny's cousin's children were playing in a baseball tournament, so we got together with the family at his Uncle Carl's house for a BBQ. Yum Yum YUM... the food was awesome. Taelin met the banister behind the couch with her head. It was a sad moment... I think this is the biggest owe that she has ever gotten. Here is a little video... She said Ow for the first time.

July has been a fun month!

Taelin's First Birthday!

I didn't get to writing about Taelin's birthday! I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped and shared this special day with us. Taelin had such a great day! We went to the zoo first thing in the morning and we are glad that we did. All of the animals seemed to be awake and were being fed! That is the best time to watch them since they are out of hiding and moving around. It was great!

Taelin loved the monkeys... here is a video of her talking to them in the monkey house!
For the first time at the Hogle Zoo, I got to see the penguins being fed! ( sorry the picture is blurry) So they were actually doing something rather than just standing there. They were going in the water!!! For some reason I love watching them jump into the water! The Bears were having enrichment exercises. This is where they hid food around their exhibit and then observe them finding the yummy treats!

After a long day at the zoo Taelin took a nap on the way home. It was great! I hurried and finnished making some cup cakes for her party and then we were off to Lion's park. The weather had been perfect all day and then out of no where the wind picked up and it started to get cold! Even though the weather wasn't the best everyone still came and helped us celebrate! Thank you... There was great food and lots of presents! We had a blast and at the end of the day were ready for bed!
