The Birthday Girl!

Taelin my little baby girl! Turned THREE yesterday! I can't believe that she has grown up soo fast! It really does feel like I had her just a little while ago.  Non the less I am not OLD enough to have a THREE year old! It is crazy how fast life goes by, but it is SOOO rewarding!!!!  I love my kids and couldn't imagine a life with out them.
A month ago we started talking about Taelin's birthday coming up.  She thought we said that her birthday was  "coming out" So ever since we talked about it she says " My birthday is coming out on June 10th " So cute!  She let me know that she wanted a Pink birthday.  Taelin has also been in love with dressing up like a princess so we combined the two and had a Prince and Princess party at the Robertson Castle.

Danny and I went around to Costco and RC Willey and collected boxes.  Danny assembled them together and then cut windows and doorways then we painted them pink and purple the night before the party!  They looked pretty good in the dark, and were wondering what they were going to look like in the light?!  Surprisingly it turned out pretty good.

We had pink, purple, and white table cloths, balloons, and pink Cotton Candy!  My Young Woman's leader from my home ward growing up let us use her Cotton Candy machine! It was a blast! Of course we had to test it out the day before to make sure it was going to taste all right! ; )  And of course it did! Who wouldn't like colored sugar?  Danny was the Candy Spinner.  All we needed was a Clown outfit and it would have been perfect!

Each child was given a gift bag full of royal treasures upon their carriages arrival.  Each Princess received; a Princess hat, earrings, a necklace, a bracelet, a ring pop, and a wand.   Each Prince received a sword and a ring pop and crown.

For our royal food, we had milk & cookies, grapes, bananas, and strawberries.  Then of course we had to have a Cake worthy of a Princess. ( I found a cute idea for a cake online. ) Cinderella's carriage!  I think that it turned out pretty good.

We played two games a water balloon challenge, they had to carry a water balloon on a soup spoon to the table without it falling off the spoon. The older kids actually were able to do it and asked how to make it harder.  I then said walk faster! : )  it was fun! They had a good time breaking the balloons.
Then we played Red Rover! It was a little too grown up for the younger kids, but I think they had fun for the most part.  Ring-a-round the Rosie.  The kids seemed to have a good time.  Then we sang happy birthday had food and opened presents.  Then the kids went and played some more! Taelin was soo tired that night! It was great! She and Brick went right to sleep!  It was a good day!

Thank you EVERYONE for making this a SPECIAL day for Taelin!
                                                   She loved it!!!
This was the after party! The kids filled up the cooler with water and had a BLAST cooling off!

Easter!!!

Taelin totally loved Easter this year! We went to Macey's Grocery store on Friday and had our nose painted and bunny ears made and pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.  Taelin totally loved it. Brick loved getting his face painted too! They had a mirror for him to look into and he loved it. Brick however wouldn't let go of Dad's arm and was whimpering, totally scared of the Easter Bunny!  Then we walked around the store finding different animal signs.  When you find one, you are supposed to tell the Macey's worker what sound the animal makes to get an egg.  Taelin was SHY!???  Where did this come from??? little miss talk your ear off!  SHY is totally out of her character. She is adorable!

Saturday, we went to Mountain View High School for their Egg Hunt! Aunt Maile and Uncle Michael met us there to share in the excitement! It was fun to be there, but it was FREEZING! When they finally said said go! All of the kids AND PARENTS ran out onto the field and the PARENTS filled their kids baskets with eggs.  Taelin didn't get one Egg.  : ( Bummer...   I guess Mountain View has really good prizes like bikes etc... so the parents are all for filling their kids baskets...  There were kids younger than Taelin that had a full basket of eggs.  Oh well we had a good time and Taelin was perfectly happy with her Salt Water Taffy!
Then it was onto the Provo Easter Egg Hunt! This one is always a little more fun! It isn't as crowded! They have ages 2 and under in one area and older kids in another area so the little kids are more likely to get eggs.  Maile and Michale Hunted with Brick and I went with Taelin.  It was a blast we ran for the golden egg... but once again a parent grabbed it and put it in their kid's basket about a yard ahead of us! Oh well, we immediately switched course and Taelin began to pick up the eggs and put them in her basket!  It was FREEZING and a BLAST! We hurried and left.  At home we made Waffles and Whipped Cream and Sausage and had Strawberries and Orange Juice! Michael and Maile joined us for breakfast too! It is always good to spend time with family! Sooo fun!!!

After Breakfast we went to pick up Grandma Bitter and headed out to Uncle Jerry's house for his Easter Lunch and Hunt!  Jerry and Laurie have their very own Chickens... They lay eggs for them and everything it was really neat to see.  They had a few baby chicks in their house and Taelin and Brick couldn't get enough of them.  Brick kept hanging on to the edge of the Tub they were in and trying to grab one if not get in with them.  They were sooo cute!  Cheep Cheep ...  The food was great and the Hunt was a blast!  They have a huge yard and had eggs everywhere....  Some in plain sight and others were hidden under the dead grass, plants, etc...  Taelin and Brick had a great time looking for them.  By now the weather was quite nice! Which was a plus! Taelin didn't find the GOLDEN Egg that is full of money! But she did find six eggs that had nickles in them! She was so delighted to put the money in her very own piggy bank! Then finally we headed home to put the kids down for their naps and for me to listen to conference while I finished getting dinner ready!
While Danny was at Priesthood session.  I went to Grandma Bitters and sewed these cute Crayon holders. That are made of felt! I made a Crayon or Pencil holder for Taelin to use at Church and a Car one for Brick.  Now I just have to buy him some Hot Wheels or barrow some from Grandma Robertson's house.

Sunday Easter Morning was a blast! Taelin came and sat with us in bed at about 8 and then brick woke up and we just played in bed for a while (the kids love playing with Daddy!) Then Taelin remembered the Easter Bunny was supposed to come, and went looking for her basket! She was sooo excited! She got a new Aurora Cell phone and a egg cup with a straw and a princess kite etc.... she loved it.
Brick also loved his basket he got a golfing set with three balls and clubs he has been playing with it all day.  He also got a new Binky since he lost one at the store the other day!  Candy Candy Candy!  The Kids, Mom and Dad have all had their fare share today! Now it is time for Mom to be good! : )  (and Not eat anymore).

Today the kids did pretty good at doing their own activities so that mom and dad could watch conference.  It was a great day/weekend.  Holidays are so much more exciting with kids.  : )  I love Brick and Taelin soo much and can't believe how fast they are growing up! It's amazing how they change from day to day.  Taelin always wakes up with something new to say or do.  I look at them both and it feels like they were just infants in my arms days ago!   Thanks for reading and We hope that you also had a great Holiday weekend!

We also got to go to the Knicks VS Jazz game! Thanks Auntie! We had a blast and were on the fifth row!!!  Great seats! One of the people we sat next to has been a season ticket holder for 30 plus years in the same seat! He was great to sit next to!

An Almost Perfect Morning!

Last night I had my family over for dinner Auntie, Grandma, My Brother and his Girlfriend and me and the kids! It was a blast to see them and just to eat dinner together! As everyone went home it started to snow!!! I LOVE the snow! It is so beautiful! I love listening to it fall and breathing in the fresh crisp air and I love the smell! YES snow has a smell. After putting the kids to bed I enjoyed shoveling the driveway and side walk reminiscing about my childhood! We shoveled a lot when I was younger. It seems like it doesn't snow as much anymore. Anyway, I made a perfect boundary to our yard! You know when you push the shovel up against the snow bank and it makes a rounded edge! I used to do it all the time when younger, now with kids, I don't usually have that much time when shoveling. Needless to say I had a BLAST! I even made a snowman! (not the one in the picture!) He is in there though.  We used his body parts to start new ones for this one!

This morning I really wanted to play in the snow, so I called my sister-in-law to see if the they wanted to play
as well. I was in luck they were headed out to build a snowman. Perfect! Amanda, Logan and Scott came over to our house and we built one together. The snow was a little dryer than it had been the night before, but it worked out perfectly. Scott built a fort!!! Now we just need to have a snowball fight! Anyway.... Here are some pictures of our ALMOST PERFECT morning! It would have been a PERFECT MORNING if Danny could have been there. Some day he will have a job with normal hours! But hey we are grateful for a good job, with a GREAT boss!!! :)

Tomorrow Brick turns ONE!!! I can't believe it! He was just born, my baby is all grown up! He is walking and trying to talk. It's cute how he walks around babbling things! ADORABLE! His forehead is always covered in bruises! Poor guy. He always seems to fall into a corner of some sort. He is going to have all sorts of scars on his head! We celebrated the other day with my Mom and Briant at Brick Oven! He LOVED his Pasta!

After dinner we went to Danny's basketball game! He didn't win, but we still had fun cheering. Then we had Cake! Brick was asleep so we sang to him and Taelin blew out the candle. As we finished, he woke up so we did a re-do. He was up for a little while and opened his present from G & G Buckwalter. He LOVES it! It is a singing tool bench. You get to hit different buttons with hammer and lights go off etc... Taelin loves it too!

Anyway... We love our children soo much and are grateful for these opportunities to make memories with them! I hope that all is well with you and I will try to keep you updated on our lives!

Our Fourth Anniversary TOMORROW!!!

October came and went sooo fast! Too fast! The weather was amazing though. We lucked out and had the warmer weather for just a little longer! :) We celebrated Danny's 26th Birthday this year and surprised him with a Frankin Stein pinata that was full of some of his favorite candy! Fruities(?) or as we call them Fruity Tooties heheeh, there were also Gob Stoppers and Kit Kat bars. The thing you hang it with came off so we ended up putting a wire hanger through his head which was perfect since it was Frankin Stein. It was fun letting the kids take turns trying to break it open. Then Danny finished it off. It took him Three hits. Target sure makes strong pinatas. We had dinner Pizza Hut Pizza and Hot Wings... just few of Danny's favorite foods! :) We opened presents and then played with them. Danny got Transformers Revenge and a cool Ghost Camera and a Target shooting game. Then we finally cut the cake. I made a Spider cake this year. It was pretty fun. There was a square base and then a dome cake for the spider body. I used licorice for the legs. It looked AWESOME if I do say so myself. I will have to borrow Amanda's camera so I can show you some pictures.

We had our ward party later that week. I was a witch with Taelin. She was by fat a much cuter witch. Brick was a Bronco football player. Danny wore his repeat costume from last year. Barf from Spaceballs. We had a fun time. There are some really creative people in our ward. My visiting teacher and her husband were Popi and Olive Oil. They totally fit the part! :)

Danny's actual Birthday Halloween, I was Paula Abdul and Danny was a Jonas Brother. Taelin was a witch and Brick was a mummy. Our kids looked pretty cute if I do say so. After visiting my family, we went to Danny's cousin's house. The house was totally decked out for Halloween with spiderwebs inside and streamers etc.. There was a TON of food and cookies to decorate! His cousin borrowed a Army Tent like the ones on Mash from a neighbor and decorated it with lights, bails of Hay and director chairs to fit the theme. Another cousin borrowed a DJ music equipment. There was even a fog machine. We had a blast!!! Taelin was dancing with everybody especially Jason (One of Danny's cousins). There were so many fun costumes. Amy Winehouse, Hannah Montana, Scooby Doo, Hippies, Choir members (Danny's parents), Jonas Brothers (Danny and Matt), Phantom (Alex), Kiss, etc... It was fun to see what everyone came up with.

Now it is November and I have raked the leaves THREE times in the past week and a half and am sick of them. They are so beautiful while changing colors and attached to the tree. And are fun to jump into etc... But after raking the leaves for the whole neighborhood because they blow into our yard, I am done with them!

The weather has turned cold which makes me SOOO EXCITED for Christmas. I know I know.... Christmas doesn't start until after Thanksgiving! Oh well... you only listen to Christmas music once every year. Danny and I listen to some everyday and have even started watching Christmas movies! :) We have Taelin even watching Christmas cartoons! :)

Taelin, Brick and I went over to Grandma Bitter's house the other day and picked three boxes of apples and borrowed her dehydrator. We are having fun washing apples and slicing them, soaking them in Orange juice, and then dehydrating them. We tasted the first batch of our experiment last night and they were GOOOD! Danny even took some to school today so that is a plus! :)Now I just have two-three days more of dehydrating to look forward to. :)

Brick took his first steps the other day. I looked over at him and he had pulled the drawer open that holds all of the dvds and was dumping them on the floor and then all of the sudden he lets go and starts waving his hands and took two steps. I know it's not a ton, but it is an exciting start! :) GO BRICK!!! He is growing up tooo fast!

SO NOW FOR SOME SHOCKING NEWS!!!
DANNY AND I FINALLY....... ordered our wedding pictures! hahahaha It has only been four years TOMORROW! Life happens too fast! :) I guess that means that I am enjoying my life though! :) Danny has been such a good HUSBAND, support system, FATHER, work horse, ENTERTAINER, decorator,LISTENER, teacher, MOTIVATOR! etc... Thank you babe for FOUR WONDERFUL YEARS OF MARRIAGE you are the BEST!
Thanks for reading! I hope to get my camera fixed soon so that I can start posting pictures again. That's why we all look at each others blogs anyway isn't it!? heheh jk!

Robertson Update!

Hello Everyone!
It has been so long since I last posted. Brick is now 6 months old Taelin two years old and summer is almost over! My my my... where does the time go?!
In April, my dad made a trip to Utah for Conference and to meet Brick! It was so good to see him and my step-mom.
Easter was a blast! We got up early took Danny to work and went to the Provo City egg hunt! Taelin loved it! She got sooo many eggs, it was crazy. It was interesting to find inside; fire balls, hard root beer barrels, butter scotch candies, etc.... They were all hard candies for toddlers! There were a few things that were toddler friendly, but not much. We later had an egg hunt at my Grandmother's house! It was so much fun! Auntie sure knows how to have a good time!
Later that month, we made a trip to California to say good bye to my sister and her kids! Taelin had a blast with her new cousins. This was my first trip without Danny. I drove to CA with my Aunt, it was a fun and busy car ride. If I wasn't attending to Taelin I was to Brick. By the end of the week I was exhausted! Danny and my brother Michael decided to come out to CA and spend the weekend with all of us. It was a wonderful present! I finally got to take a good nap!
We also went to Goblin Valley with Scott, Logan and Amanda! Taelin and Logan were in seventh heaven with all of the dirt! Loads of fun! I was very pleased with this trip to Goblin Valley and glad that it was not a repeat from last year! We had a little scare, but it only lasted about 15 min or so. (The scare is that the wind picked up and the sand started to blow everywhere!)
Also my brother-in-law Matt graduated from High School! Yeah Matt!

June!
Taelin turned TWO! I cannot believe that she is already a toddler! She grew up way too fast if you ask me! We had fun celebrating. The night before, we went to Iggys and she had her favorite food, mini hot dogs. Then for dessert, she got an Ice-cream sundae! She loved it and so did I! :) For her birthday breakfast, we made mini blue berry muffins! She Loved them and blew out the candles on her first try. Well kind of on her first try, they were trick candles, she would have had them out though if they weren't. For her present from mom and dad, we went to build a bear, she didn't really get it, but loves playing with her bear. Later that night we had cake and Ice-cream for family! Taelin got some awesome presents, she got a giant princess coloring book, a princess doll, a dress that Aunt Amanda made! and much more!

July!
Danny and I did the freedom run with my Mom and Briant! It was a fun experience. Danny did really well he ran a 5k in 24 minutes, and that was without training! :) Megan and Lecia camped out so we had a parade spot for the Robertson family and Buckwalter Family. Later we had lunch at the park and played games and then did fire works at the Robertson home! Good times!
Family adventure in Luna, New Mexico! We had a great time. We saw the Gila Cliff Dwellings (long car ride), the Rodgers place ( where we repel and shoot guns), the Box Canyon (like the Narrows). We had a good time. They boys build a standard size soccer goal, a volley ball court, and horse shoe pits. They had a great time. The only thing that was not fun was the FLU.... it went through just about everybody down there! Luckily we all survived and were still able to have a good time!
Our most recent Vacation was to California. My sister Hillary was married August 15th in the San Diego Temple. We first drove to Cayucos California and spent 5 days there with my Dad and Step-mom (Elaine). We had a great time. The weather was cool, but that didn't keep the boys (Michael and Danny and Maile) out of the ocean. We went to look at tide pools, kayak in the bay. We loved exploring Cayucos and spending time with family. We drove down to San Clemente where we spent a few nights at the condo. What a blast. Driving to the wedding was crazy, we some how missed our exit and almost reached Mexico. (there were seven exits left before the border!) We luckily made it in time and Maile stayed with the kids during the sealing. Thank you Maile! The rest of our vacation was in Diamond Bar. First we had a Beach Day in San Clemente! FUN FUN FUN... then we played in the pool, tennis, etc... We had a great time.. However there are not any pictures from this two week vacation. Our camera broke within the first couple of days! :(

Danny turns 26 this month! It's crazy how it feels like we are getting old! hehehe jk. He is now in school at BYU, and works full time. He is currently training for a relay race (Ragnar). He is running it with family :) Flag football is almost over. This week starts the championship games we usually do pretty well as a team so... GO ORANGE CRUSH!!!

Brick has learned to crawl it is soo cute! He is getting faster everyday! He now can pull himself up and stand there. He loves cords!!! Also for some reason the bathroom! He is growing up soo fast! It feels like he was a new born just the other day!

Taelin is learning to sing out loud with me or even by herself, it is soo cute! She also can carry a conversation on the phone with out my help... most of the time. I think that she is starting to realize that there is Great Grandma and Grandma Robertson and Grandma Buckwalter. She has been handling Grandpa's passing pretty well, she still thinks that he is sleeping when we go over to Great Grandma Bitter's house.

As far as I go.... I bought some new running shoes and plan to get fit! It's time that I do something for me. So wish me luck and don't bring me treats! :) Only on Sundays!!!

Thanks for reading! I hope this post finds you and your families well.
Love you all,
Natalie
P.S.
Photos are going to come later. If I don't get this posted, it will sit as a draft for another six months!

A Morning To Remember!

Today... has been an eventful one! This morning I got a call around 4:00 a.m. from my sister saying that she has been having heavy contractions since 2:00 a.m. and that she needed to go to the hospital. My sister's husband is in Vietnam and is flying in on Sunday, so I went over and picked her up. We drove quickly to the hospital where they monitored her for about 45 min. before deciding that she was in true labor. By this point she was dilated to a 5 and was moved to a delivery room and an anesthesiologist on his way after his C section. By the time the anesthesiologist arrived, Jennie was having pretty hard contractions... To make a short story shorter, she gave birth to Anneliese Marchant by the time the needle had been placed in her back and ready to go! What a trooper Jennie was! The whole time she wasn't allowed to move because of the needle, and she was giving birth at the same time! The the Dr. who was in another room delivering had his hands tied. Luckily there was another Dr. waiting for a C-section in the hall from the same practice. It ended up being the same Dr. that delivered Taelin for me! He was so calm and just stepped right in like he had been there the whole time! Crazy! I got to be the lucky supporter! It was a wonderful experience being able to be there for my sister in her time of need. She was a trooper and proved to herself that she is stronger than she thought she ever could be!

I love you Jennie! Here is a little slide show of our Morning together! Enjoy!

Cont... from Hospital!

So I know that I promised the full story! To pick up where I left off, My Aunt came over to our house to watch Taelin for us! THANK YOU AUNTIE! We went to the hospital and didn't know if we could park in the Valet Parking part of the hospital so we went and parked the car ourselves. Danny held my hand through all of the walking. It sure kept them coming (walking that is). The nurse offered me a wheelchair, but I figured that we were close enough to my room, which we were. While there, she hooked me up to all of the machines. Then told me that I was dilated to a small 4. She said that it was probably enough progress, from my Dr's appointment that morning where I was a one and a half, for me to only be assessed for twenty minutes before being able to get an epidural! YEAH!!! She called the Dr and sure enough, he said it was okay for me to have it! Thank you Dr. Carn! My contractions were right on top of each other! Getting an epidural was not the most comfortable thing this time, but I could imagine worse things. I attribute part of my discomfort while being given the epidural to contractions being sooooo close! I had one while getting it! Not what I had in mind! After the epidural I was dilated to a 5. Then quickly to a 7. My mom who was traveling to Utah from California trying to make it in time for the baby, called and said that they were about 15 minutes away. By the time they got to the hospital I was dilated to a 10 and then twenty minutes later started pushing. Overall I was only in the hospital for two hours before Brick entered our world! Which is a totally different experience from Taelin we were there for 17 hours! not including the day before and the visits through the night for medicine to efface me. Anyway... It was a great experience.
That night I had so much adrenaline that I couldn't fall asleep until 5 am! It was crazy! I know that I must have dosed off few times, but not into a deep sleep!

My mom stayed in Utah to help me with the baby and Taelin for a week and a half! It was so wonderful to have her here! Naps are precious! She helped with cooking, and cleaning! And it was fun to just have her here to catch up and visit also! Thanks mom!

We had wonderful meals brought to us from close friends, family, and ward members! THANK YOU!!!! They were all sooo delicious, and nutritious!

My sister Jennie and her two kids arrived on the 29th of January from Vietnam. She is here in the states to have a baby of her own in March! They are having a little girl! It has been fun to see her!

As for now! I am feeling great! I do get TIRED, but Danny is very good to let me nap when he gets home from school and before he goes to work! In turn he gets to sleep through the night for the most part! heheh you know it is kind of hard to sleep to ear piercing cries! :) We are having a BLAST being parents of two! we are so blessed to have a healthy and happy family! Taelin loves her little brother. Yes she has her moments of jealousy, but she is so in tune to him. She wants to know everything that is going on with him. Brick can see our faces now and we assume that he has a fun time looking at us since he holds his head up to look at you while you burp him! :) Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!
