A Morning To Remember!

Today... has been an eventful one! This morning I got a call around 4:00 a.m. from my sister saying that she has been having heavy contractions since 2:00 a.m. and that she needed to go to the hospital. My sister's husband is in Vietnam and is flying in on Sunday, so I went over and picked her up. We drove quickly to the hospital where they monitored her for about 45 min. before deciding that she was in true labor. By this point she was dilated to a 5 and was moved to a delivery room and an anesthesiologist on his way after his C section. By the time the anesthesiologist arrived, Jennie was having pretty hard contractions... To make a short story shorter, she gave birth to Anneliese Marchant by the time the needle had been placed in her back and ready to go! What a trooper Jennie was! The whole time she wasn't allowed to move because of the needle, and she was giving birth at the same time! The the Dr. who was in another room delivering had his hands tied. Luckily there was another Dr. waiting for a C-section in the hall from the same practice. It ended up being the same Dr. that delivered Taelin for me! He was so calm and just stepped right in like he had been there the whole time! Crazy! I got to be the lucky supporter! It was a wonderful experience being able to be there for my sister in her time of need. She was a trooper and proved to herself that she is stronger than she thought she ever could be!

I love you Jennie! Here is a little slide show of our Morning together! Enjoy!

Cont... from Hospital!

So I know that I promised the full story! To pick up where I left off, My Aunt came over to our house to watch Taelin for us! THANK YOU AUNTIE! We went to the hospital and didn't know if we could park in the Valet Parking part of the hospital so we went and parked the car ourselves. Danny held my hand through all of the walking. It sure kept them coming (walking that is). The nurse offered me a wheelchair, but I figured that we were close enough to my room, which we were. While there, she hooked me up to all of the machines. Then told me that I was dilated to a small 4. She said that it was probably enough progress, from my Dr's appointment that morning where I was a one and a half, for me to only be assessed for twenty minutes before being able to get an epidural! YEAH!!! She called the Dr and sure enough, he said it was okay for me to have it! Thank you Dr. Carn! My contractions were right on top of each other! Getting an epidural was not the most comfortable thing this time, but I could imagine worse things. I attribute part of my discomfort while being given the epidural to contractions being sooooo close! I had one while getting it! Not what I had in mind! After the epidural I was dilated to a 5. Then quickly to a 7. My mom who was traveling to Utah from California trying to make it in time for the baby, called and said that they were about 15 minutes away. By the time they got to the hospital I was dilated to a 10 and then twenty minutes later started pushing. Overall I was only in the hospital for two hours before Brick entered our world! Which is a totally different experience from Taelin we were there for 17 hours! not including the day before and the visits through the night for medicine to efface me. Anyway... It was a great experience.
That night I had so much adrenaline that I couldn't fall asleep until 5 am! It was crazy! I know that I must have dosed off few times, but not into a deep sleep!

My mom stayed in Utah to help me with the baby and Taelin for a week and a half! It was so wonderful to have her here! Naps are precious! She helped with cooking, and cleaning! And it was fun to just have her here to catch up and visit also! Thanks mom!

We had wonderful meals brought to us from close friends, family, and ward members! THANK YOU!!!! They were all sooo delicious, and nutritious!

My sister Jennie and her two kids arrived on the 29th of January from Vietnam. She is here in the states to have a baby of her own in March! They are having a little girl! It has been fun to see her!

As for now! I am feeling great! I do get TIRED, but Danny is very good to let me nap when he gets home from school and before he goes to work! In turn he gets to sleep through the night for the most part! heheh you know it is kind of hard to sleep to ear piercing cries! :) We are having a BLAST being parents of two! we are so blessed to have a healthy and happy family! Taelin loves her little brother. Yes she has her moments of jealousy, but she is so in tune to him. She wants to know everything that is going on with him. Brick can see our faces now and we assume that he has a fun time looking at us since he holds his head up to look at you while you burp him! :) Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures!

Drum Roll Please!!!

We would like to present to you..... BRICK DANIEL ROBERTSON!!!!

Brick decided to join our world this morning Jan 24 2009 at 12:42 a.m. He weighs 8 lbs 3 oz and is 19 and half inches long!
I started to have contractions around 2:00 p.n. on the 23rd and continued until we had him heheehehe.... I called Danny at work around 8:30 to have him tell his boss that he would probably not be into work Saturday morning. Then I called him again at 9:45 p.m. to ASK... BEG... CRY and ask him if he could come home. Danny's boss is the coolest and said sure GO HOME and GOOD LUCK!!! As soon as I got off the phone with my Danny my mom called (who is on her way to Utah from CA) and asked about my contractions they were currently on top of each other they were about 5, 3, and 1 minutes apart. So we had my Aunt come over and stay with Taelin,

Well I personally need a nap! I just wanted to update everyone! Here are some cute Pictures!
Love you all!

New territory!!!

Sooo.... This whole waiting part of pregnancy is new to me! With Taelin I was induced 10 days early so... Waiting these last few days is KILLING ME!! heheeh I think that it doesn't help that (as my husband kindly pointed out to me today) I was/am still wishing for an early baby! Taelin was 9 days early and was 8lbs 8oz I think that if this baby waits any longer he is going to come into this world a 10lb baby! Ahhhhh.... My mom says that if she could handle a 9 1/2 lb baby so can I. Probably true, but I would rather not!

Last Saturday night! 3:00 am to be exact I started to have contractions and they were pretty much about 5 min apart and lasted about 45 seconds each... every now and then they were further apart or they didn't last as long. So but 5:00 am they had slowed down and then stopped! I was nervous and excited I immediately got out my pregnancy magazines to read what really contractions felt like and how long they should be etc... The difference with mine was that not all of them were painful. Some of them just made my stomach ROCK HARD! and then others gave me some discomfort! So My sister Jennie and I decided that they were probably just Braxton Hicks contractions. My sister (Jennie) who lives in Vietnam was awake since it was early evening over there... So I decided to call her instead of my sleeping mother at 2:00 am in California. It was a good thing since my contractions were just for practice! I am so excited for this little boy to come and am some what excited to see what it is like to go into labor rather than being induced!

I have been blessed with an easy pregnancy so far and shouldn't even be complaining about still being pregnant. I am sure that many women would die for an easier pregnancy.... no vomiting, etc... I just get all of the swelling, almost preclampsia (sp?) symptoms and this time carpal tunnel and tendinitis symptoms in my hands. Sooo.... oh and the constant heartburn! Anyway... I have a Dr's appointment tomorrow so we will see how things are coming along! Hopefully this baby will be here soon.... But however things go I hope for the best and pray that he is ready when he comes!

Love you all! Thanks for reading!

Still Prego!

Still Prego! I am sure loving being pregnant except for the numbness in my hands and the swelling of my feet and the pretty much constant reminder of acid reflux! heeheh I am just lucky that I don't have to suffer with the nausea that most women get! know on wood!
Taelin is growing up sooo fast! She is learning so much and is talking up a storm! I was singing rock a by baby to her this morning after her shower and she would try to say the last word of the phrase that I just sang. Like Baby, Top, Blows, Drop, etc.... It was way cute! She amazes me! Children are sponges! Last night she was so frustrated with me because I couldn't understand what it was that she wanted. Finally I said do you want some milk? and she gets this look on her face like YES!!! and licks her lips and started to make a scrunching motion with both fists over and over! It was so cute! I can't wait till she can say. "Mommy can I please have some milk!"
Taelin has also been sleeping in her big girl bed for a week now! It is so cute to watch her crawl up into bed and lay down and say "night night"! Of course she folds her arms before we get into bed to remind us that we need to pray! Sooo CUTE! I love being a mother!
Last night Danny and I picked up my brother from the air port. He was returning from Christmas Vacation and a Tour of Meso America ( I think that was what he called it) Basically a tour of Guatemala and Mexico. He toured a bunch of sights that are said to be where things took place in the Book of Mormon. He had a blast! It was fun to listen about some of his adventures while there! He was tan (Oooooo I am sooo jealous, I would love to be that tan in the winter!) We had invited him to stay for dinner and invited my aunt over. We had Baked Ziti and home made Celebration bread! I was pretty proud of myself! I not only made bread and the main course, but they tasted wonderful! Maybe my dream of being good wife (cook) will come true! Anyway!!! Time to go my fingers are numb! Love you all thanks for reading!

Happy Birthday to me and Happy New Years too!!!

For my birthday, Danny took me to Denny's for breakfast! We came home and had a relaxing day, Danny did the dishes while Taelin and I took a nap. Later that evening, we went to Provo's first night with JD & Laura, and Celisa & Ian. We had a great time! We watched the fire dancers walked around to see all of the other booths.... Which all had LONG lines... The only line we stood in was for a balloon. Taelin got a monkey and I a penguin. I entered into a bubble gum blowing contest and WON!!! Yep... you read that right! I won! We were each given a five piece package of Bubble Yum and then had to blow the first biggest bubble! I suppose that I was the only one who managed to blow a big bubble! Man! was my jaw sore!!! Five pieces is a lot!!! There were about twenty five other people in the contest, including young... middle and old! I had a great time! After First night, we went to Danny's Uncle's house in Salem! A ton of his cousins were there and we had a blast watching movies, playing games, singing to ROCK BAND and eating, eating, & eating!!!! It was a great way to end 2008! I had a fabulous birthday!
